Description

Collegedrinkingprevention.gov is an online resource center for changing the drinking culture on college campuses. The content of the site is based on a series of reports published by the Task Force of the National Advisory Council on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, which found that prevention efforts and policies will meet with much greater success when based on science-based research. In particular, the Task Force recommends the use of a 3-in-1 Framework in any approach to reduce or prevent student drinking. This approach suggests that prevention strategies simultaneously target three audiences: the student population as a whole; the college and its surrounding environment; and the individual at-risk or alcohol-dependent drinker.
