Houma CPRA public meetings on Master Plan Draft

Description:In December 2005, the Louisiana State legislature established the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) as the single state entity with the authority to focus development and implementation efforts for comprehensive coastal protection. Over the past year and utilizing input from a wide variety of stakeholders, the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority has developed a comprehensive master plan for sustainable coastal protection integrating the two goals of hurricane protection and coastal restoration. A preliminary draft of the master plan is now available for public review and comment at http://louisianacoastalplanning.org/prelim_draft.html . Public meetings to discuss the plan are scheduled at the following locations and dates below.
