Projects and programs

As part of the county's IT strategic goals, OIRM has multiple programs underway that will use the technology governance process to develop and promote standards, policies, guidelines and methodologies for privacy, security, project management, application development, wireless, messaging, remote access, outside contractors, and disaster recovery.  Each of OIRM's countywide programs, below, is noted with the program manager, a short description and link for addtional program information.

Business Continuity (BC):   Sharon Glein

Establish and implement a countywide information technology business continuity program to support mission critical business operations.

Information Security and Privacy:   Juliette Peze

Identify and remediate critical deficiencies, research and oversee implementation of security tools and services, develop countywide security and privacy policies and standards including roles and responsibilities, and develop a security and privacy training program.

IT Organization Study (IT Org):   Sharon Glein

Identify, evaluate, and recommend potential countywide IT organization models that will improve effectiveness and efficiency of IT services, management, and staffing.

Law, Safety & Justice Integration (LSJ-I):   Trever Esko

Improve the efficiency and management of criminal justice cases, sharing criminal justice information with decision makers and law enforcement officers.

Network Infrastructure Optimization (NIO):   Sonja Rowland

Make immediate improvements to our network infrastructure and associated operations and continue the long-term transformation to an efficient, manageable, and cost-effective network infrastructure that can support all of the county's voice, video, data, and wireless communication needs from a service, operational, and financial perspective.
