Financial Aid Advisor
Find financial assistance to continue your lifelong learning, and possibly increase your earning potential! Research shows higher education and training translates into higher earnings. For more information, view a chart of reported earnings by educational level prepared by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Audio Highlights from the Federal Student Aid website are also available.

The Financial Aid Advisor helps you fund your career pathway. Answer a brief list of questions to see what you might qualify for, where to go for more complete information on eligibility, and how to apply.
Information on Federal and State financial aid programs is available with minimal entries in the Financial Aid Calculator. However, to find if you qualify for possible financial aid for the 2008-2009 school year, it will be helpful to have the following information available:
  • Your 2007 W-2 Forms and other records of money earned
  • Your (and your spouse's, if you are married) 2007 Federal Income Tax Return - IRS Form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040TeleFile, foreign tax return, or tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, or the Federated States of Micronesia. If you have not yet filed a 2007 income tax return, simply provide the income and tax information with your best estimate
  • Your parents' 2007 Federal Income Tax Return information (if you are a dependent student )
  • Your 2007 untaxed income records - Social Security, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, welfare, or veterans benefits records. Include the same information for your parents if you are a dependent student
  • Your current bank statements
  • Information on savings, investments, and business and farm assets for yourself, and your parents if you are a dependent student.

The following additional information is required for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application:

  • Your Social Security Number (found on your Social Security card) and your parent(s) Social Security number(s) if you are a dependent student
  • Your driver's license (if any)
  • Your alien registration number if you are not a U.S. citizen
  • An e-mail address for correspondence.
Submit your application as early as possible, but no earlier than January 1, 2008. The deadline for some state aid may be as early as January 2008.
