NERC is a joint government-industry program of laboratory research to improve our understanding of the contributions of individual air contaminants and classes of contaminants to the respiratory and cardiac health effects associated with exposures to complex mixtures of air pollutants.

Research Plan and Progress
The Center's principal activity is to conduct a series of studies aimed at determining the contributions of pollution mixture constituents to the respiratory health effects of pollutant mixtures.

Research Resources
Laboratory studies and associated research resources of NERC are available to external investigators for collaborative studies.

Information Resources
We maintain searchable bibliographic databases on the pollution mixtures under study. The LRRI library provides a variety of search and delivery services.

Center Affiliates
Organizations providing a certain level of financial support are designated as Center Affiliates and have enhanced access to the Center's resources.
