| Customer service and sales workforce training is provided at Greece Central School District's Community Learning Center at the Greece Ridge Center. The mall is located in the town of Greece, a large, northwest suburb of Rochester. The Center trains individuals for the retail industry and other customer service sector occupations and serves as an official testing site for National Professional Certification in Customer Service®. An Employer Advisory Board composed of retail and food service managers meets quarterly to provide input and guidance regarding local customer service training needs.
Both new and incumbent employees participate in a comprehensive, 82-hour course, offered both day and evening hours, delivered by experienced industry trained instructors. NRF Foundation (NRFF) books and materials are utilized to teach to industry standards. Job readiness training including resume preparation, practice interviews, job club, and placement activities are provided. Program completers receive a completion certificate from NRFF and earn the opportunity to be assessed for National Professional Certification in Customer Service®. Customized training for local businesses is available to upgrade the skills of incumbent employees.
