Geographic Information System (GIS) shapefiles are available for download that represent varying spatial extents. The shapefiles that are available for download by state or watershed are generally more up-to-date than the national shapefiles. Information on how to obtain the state or watershed level shapefiles , as well as how to obtain the national shapefiles for selected programs are detailed below.
State or Watershed Level Shapefiles
You may download the spatial files representing the most up-to-date publicly available Water program data by State or Watershed from the NHD Reach Address Database (RAD) download page.
National Shapefiles
These static files reflect the information in the NHD Reach Address Database (RAD) on the date of extract. To be included in this dataset States and other jurisdictions must have submitted information to the program database, and that information must have been indexed to the RAD.Check the STATUS of available data.
