Preliminary Draft Municipal Stormwater Permits

In May of 2005, the Washington State Department of Ecology released preliminary drafts of NPDES municipal stormwater permits for Phase I (a new permit to replace the one issued in 1995) and Phase II (the first stormwater permit issued in this state for municipalities not covered under the Phase I rule). Read the preliminary drafts and Ecology's explanation of the permits. King County's comments, submitted on August 19, 2005, included a cover letter and an enclosure that included more detailed comments and suggestions for alternate wording.
