Employment/Self-Employment

Rural people with disabilities have a higher rate of unemployment than their urban counterparts, possibly due to the marginal nature of many rural economies.  RTC:Rural explores solutions to assist people with disabilities and rural rehabilitation service providers to achieve and maintain employment.  Our projects explore rural employment issues to improve the employment prospects and economic status of people with disabilities living in rural communities.
