the site allows users to access information such as Fire Stories (current
projects implemented in National Parks), current national fire information,
fire prevention and education materials, fire ecology and fire effects
monitoring information, prescribed fire articles, etc.

The NIFC site is an excellent source of information for current and
archived wildland fire information. Also contained within the site are
educational resources such as a communicator's guide to wildland fire,
the Burning Issues interactive multimedia program, and various publications
for homeowners and firefighters about the wildland/urban interface.
