Children enjoy a ride at Summer Days Festival |
Fairfield Indian Summer Days Festival
Marking its 21st year in 1999, the Fairfield Indian
Summer Days Festival is the premier community event in the city of
Fairfield, Ohio. The three-day festival boasts activities for all
ages, including musical performances, a parade with floats, crafts,
animals, rides, and bingo. One recent festival included gymnastics
performed by Amanda Borden and Jaycie Phelps, Olympic gold medal
winners. Area businesses sponsor the festival, which funds six $500
scholarships to college-bound students from Fairfield's high
schools and donations to local non-profit organizations such as the
Boy Scouts. Included in the project materials are a written report,
newspaper coverage, and 24 photographs.
