The Sioux City Transit System provides service to the Sioux City urban area on a regular route schedule basis. This system provides service Monday through Saturday and no vehicle operation Sundays or in the nighttime hours. Para transit service is provided through contracted carriers operating on a demand-response basis during the same time frame as the Sioux City Transit System. South Sioux City has a dedicated route that has been planned in such a way that it provides service within five blocks of a majority of all city households. The route also serves several city schools during weekday mornings and afternoons.

Vehicle and operations are based in St. Paul at the St. Paul Community Center. All outlying communities (Cotesfield, Elba, Cushing, Farwell, Dannebrog, Boelus and St. Libory) are served at least one day a week to St. Paul. Transportation is available to residents of St. Paul five days a week when the vehicle is not scheduled out of town. All rides are portal-to-portal with a 24-hour advance registration. The wheelchair-equipped van is available anytime.

Hitch & Hay Public Transit provides transportation service five days a week Monday through Friday on a demand-responsive basis. Service from the six towns in Hitchcock and Hayes Counties to McCook, Benkelman and Imperial. The majority of the passengers are senior citizens and the disabled.

The bus is in Tecumseh and surrounding areas on Tuesday and Thursday all day and on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. The Johnson County riders are on a scheduled route. The bus goes to Sterling every Wednesday morning and to cook every Friday morning. The first Monday of the month the bus goes from Tecumseh to Cook to Lincoln.
