Metropolitan King County Council –  1:30 p.m.
--Councilmembers will declare October as Disability Awareness Month in King County

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:
• Ordinances that are part of the King County Comprehensive Plan 2008 Update:
     o An ordinance relating to comprehensive planning (Ordinance 2008-0124).
     o An ordinance relating to surface water management (Ordinance 2008-0125).
     o An ordinance relating to sewer and water management (Ordinance 2008-0126).
     o An ordinance relating to transportation (Ordinance 2008-0127).
     o An ordinance relating zoning and development regulations (Ordinance 2008-0128).
• An ordinance relating to the Mental Illness and Drug Dependency implementation plan (Substitute Ordinance 2008-0489.2).
• A motion requesting the King County Citizens’ Election Oversight Committee study rank choice voting (Substitute Ordinance 2008-0461.2).

Tuesday, October 7
Growth Management and Natural Resources Committee – 9:30 a.m.
Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:
• An ordinance approving the Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES) action plan for streamlining the permitting process to protect historic structures and places (Ordinance 2008-0479).
