Special Press Briefing on U.S. Emergency Assistance to Burma

Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development and Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance Henrietta H. Fore will brief the press on the U.S. relief effort for the people of Burma following Cyclone Nargis and the people of China following the earthquake in that country. This ON THE RECORD, ON CAMERA press briefing will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the Department of State Press Briefing Room, room 2209.

Media representatives may attend this briefing upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
