4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between ARS and North Carolina State University (NCSU). Additional details can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 1930-31000-007-00D Utilizing Genetics for Enhancing Cool and Cool Water Aquaculture Production.

In 2005 fish from 20 genetic groups were sent to the NCSU extension facility in Fletcher, NC for rearing and growth monitoring. These same genetic groups were reared in the NCCCWA Leetown, WV, facility for performance comparison over multiple environments. The best performing groups in North Carolina were also the top performing groups in West Virginia.
