Health Promotion Program

The Health Promotion Program (HPP) fosters a work environment that supports positive health and fitness practices so employees can reduce health-risk factors, achieve healthy lifestyles, and become more fit. The HPP provides health education seminars, workshops, fitness activities, and screenings for the BNL community.

Living Better With Diabetes Program

The Living Better with Diabetes program is presented by BNL’s Human Resources/Occupational Medicine (HR/OM) Health Promotion Program (HPP) and has two major components; screening and education. The program will be available to eligible BNL employees who may have diabetes or have a spouse or child with the disease. Some program components are for eligible employees only. There is no charge for participating in the program.

Screening for Diabetes (eligible employees)

Screening consists of blood/urine testing and a questionnaire. For further information contact Michael Thorn at x 8612.

Expert Education & Programs

The program will provide presentations by experts in the areas of diabetes throughout the year.

Monthly diabetes lunch group lead by Registered Dietitian Amy Shapiro
