2006 Annual Report


4d.Progress report.
This report documents research conducted under Non-Funded Cooperative Agreement with Mississippi Valley State University (MVSU). Additional details can be found in the report for the inhouse project, 6402-21310-001-00D, Genomics and Bioinformatics Research in Catfish, Cotton, and Soybeans. Information technology staff from the Mid South Area Genomics Laboratory worked with MVSU staff to recommend a bioinformatics computer platform and configure the software for MVSU teaching staff. The MSA Genomics Lab director led a class discussion on bioinformatics applied to agriculture and medicine for a summer teaching institute at MVSU. MVSU graduate students are currently working as interns with the Mid South Area Statistician and the Mid South Area Genomics Laboratory.
