2006 Annual Report
4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a Non-Funded cooperative agreement between ARS and Don Adams. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 3625-21000-046-00D Breeding High-Quality Corn for Sustainable, Low-Input Farming Systems. Several acres were devoted to a breeding nursery on the farm in 2006. A field day was organized by Practical Farmers of Iowa in conjunction with the Seeds and Breeds Meeting on October 11, 2005. General field preparation, rotary hoeing, and cultivating was done to support the plantings. Materials in the nursery in 2006 were pollinated to support experiments conducted for the parent CRIS.
