4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a cooperative agreement between ARS and Don Adams. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 3625-21000-046-00D Breeding High-Quality Corn for Sustainable, Low-Input Farming Systems. Several acres were devoted to a breeding nursery and yield evaluations on the farm in 2005. A field day is being organized by Practical Farmers of Iowa in conjunction with the Seeds and Breeds Meeting to be held on October 11, 2005. General field preparation, rotary hoeing, and cultivating was done to support the plantings.
