4.What were the most significant accomplishments this past year?
D. Progress Report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a Non-funded Cooperative Agreement between ARS and Don Adams. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent CRIS 3625-21000-046-00D Breeding High-Quality Corn for Sustainable, Low-Input Farming Systems. Several acres were devoted to a breeding nursery and yield evaluations on the farm in 2003. A field day organized by Practical Farmers of Iowa was held on October 4, 2003, at which the breeding project and its germplasm was explained and demonstrated. In 2004, several acres in a different location on the farm was devoted to a breeding nursery and yield evaluations. General field preparation, rotary hoeing, and cultivating was done to support the plantings.
