3.Progress Report
This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between the Institute of Botany in Tbilisi, Georgia and the ARS NGRL, Plant Exchange Office. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent project: 1275-21000-170-00D PLANT EXPLORATION TO ACQUIRE CROP GENETIC RESOURCES. Two plant explorations are being supported through this agreement during FY2007; a custom collection by the Georgian PI for woody landscape plants and a joint US-Georgia plant exploration for medicinal plants. All collected germplasm and the associated documentation will be shared between the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System and the National Plant Germplasm System of the Republic of Georgia. This project is being monitored by email correspondence, plant collection reports and a personal visit by the U.S. PI.
