4.What were the most significant accomplishments this past year?
Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent project 6404-21000-006-00D, Small Fruit Cultural and Genetic Research in the Mid South. This report serves to document research conducted under a Specific Cooperative Agreement between ARS and Mississippi Agriucltural and Forestry Experiment Station, Mississippi State University. Mde 98 blueberry crosses, evaluated approximately 5,800 blueberry seedlings, and made about 70 selections. Evaluated southern highbush and rabbiteye blueberry selections in 5 locations in three states. Selections from previous year evaluations were propagated and planted for further evaluation. Eight selections which had been greenhouse and field evaluated were propagated and will be planted in 6 to 10 locations for final evaluation before being released as cultivars.
