Wildlife Festival

October 4, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Wildlife Expo You are invited to attend the Wildlife Festival on October 4 and join in a full day of free festivities planned to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week and the 43rd anniversary of Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. The array of family activities scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.includes a guided nature walk, a scavenger hunt, air rifle and archery workshops, face painting, wild tea tasting, and a live wildlife presentation. Refuge service roads will be open to vehicle traffic from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to provide visitors an opportunity to see areas of the Refuge not normally open to vehicle travel. A brat and hot dog lunch will be available for purchase from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For more information on event activities check our Activity Flyer created in PDF format..

All activities begin at the Old School House located 5.5 miles west of Highway 169 on Sherburne County Road 9 or 4 miles north of Orrock on County Road 5 then 2 miles east on County Road 9. The Wildlife Festival is co-sponsored by the Refuge and Friends of Sherburne.
