New Report: "Early Childhood Assessments: Why, What, and How?"

September 3, 2008 - This study was supported by the National Academy of Sciences and The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A joint committee led the review of scientific and professional literature in early childhood development. To better understand issues concerning assessments of young children, the committee invited stakeholders involved in or affected by early childhood assessments to speak at an open meeting and to submit written responses to questions posed by the committee. As documented in the report, The National Black Child Development Institute was one of the invited groups to submit a written response.
