HERITAGE PROGRAMS GRANTS
Grants
The Heritage Programs Division offers grants for various types of historic preservation and heritage-related projects. All are matching grant programs (usually 50/50 match).  The five categories of grants are as follows:
  • Preserving Oregon Grants
  • Certified Local Government (CLG) Grants
  • Historic Cemetery Grants
  • Heritage Grants
  • Museum Grants

Preserving Oregon Grants

The Oregon State Historic Preservation Office earmarks approximately $250,000 of Lottery Funds for its Preserving Oregon Grant Program every two years, after the State Legislature has approved the State Parks budget.  These funds are to be used for rehabilitation work that supports the preservation of historic resources listed on the National Register of Historic Properties, or for significant work contributing toward identifying, preserving and/or interpreting archaeological sites.  Grant funds may be awarded for amounts up to $20,000, which must be matched 1:1 by the grantee.    The next request for proposals for Preserving Oregon Grants will be in late summer or fall of 2009.  Information for prospective applicants is in the following documents:
