Memorial service Thursday for Lab retiree Wilmarth

A memorial service for James Edwin Wilmarth is at 3 p.m., Thursday at the Strong Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Avenue, S.E. in Albuquerque. Wilmarth died June 17. He was 64.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1941 in Cortez, Colo. He began working for the Laboratory in 1968 and retired in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Claudette of Santa Fe, sons, Jeffery of Salem, Utah and Daniel of Grand Junction, Colo.; step-son, Michael Lusk of Albuquerque; mother, Nedra Wilmarth of Albuquerque; and a brother, Bill of Green River, Utah.
