For the short term establishments (those expected to be in operation for less than a year), the employer may keep one log that includes all of the injuries and illnesses at the short term establishments, or keep logs by state or district. An employer with multiple lines of business may have some exempt and some covered establishments, and each employee must be linked to an establishment for recordkeeping purposes. |
