Park Field Trips

Find the best fit for your group
Many national parks offer field trips for school groups that are designed to fit directly into local, state or national curriculum standards. Check park web sites and the list below to find the best fit for your class or other group. In some cases you may chose from a variety of self- and ranger-guided field trips.

Because special programs like class or group field trips require the park to prepare for the arrival of a large group and assure that the students are able to access particular areas of the site, it is usually necessary to make reservations in advance. Start your planning early! Programs may fill quickly.

Even if there is no required reservation mentioned on the park web site, it is always a good idea to call ahead if you are bringing groups larger than ten visitors. By calling ahead, you can avoid potential disappointment and delays.
