In order to get the most out of your visit to the fossil beds we recommend allowing at least one hour for touring the new museum at the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center, located at the Sheep Rock Unit of the monument.

Did You Know?
The fossil leaves found at the Painted Hills represent an assemblage of broad-leaf deciduous trees that were growing on the edge of lakes and streams.
