With the soaring cost of fuel sure to put a bite into the wallets of commuters, Pace recommends one of its many cost-effective travel options.

PaceRideShare.com  is the new way to find potential carpool or vanpool matches. Other system features include alerts to registered users when matches are found, complete information on establishing a new carpool or Pace Vanpool, and the ability to track savings of fuel and carbon emissions reduced by using transit or a vanpool to commute.

Considering using Metra but don’t have a place to park near the station? Pace operates numerous Metra Feeder routes, connecting neighborhoods with the train. To see if a route operates to your local Metra station, try Pace’s WebRoute application, accessible via the link on the left side of this page.

Pace’s fixed route system includes more than 230 bus routes throughout Pace’s service area. All buses are accessible and feature bicycle racks. Passengers aged 65 or older that have registered with the RTA can ride Pace fixed route service for free. Other passengers who ride frequently can save money by purchasing monthly passes and ten ride tickets from Pace’s Online Store.

With Pace’s family of services and fares that are far less than the price of a gallon of gasoline, Pace is pleased to offer convenient transportation alternatives and the chance to save money.

Thank you for riding Pace!
