Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October marks the 20th anniversary of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The theme for this year's Department of Justice observance is Working Together to End the Violence. The Office of Justice Programs (OJP), is proud to work with our colleagues at the Department's Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) and our partners at the state and local level to end the violence. While we are highlighting our efforts related to domestic violence in October as a way to bring attention to this issue, it is important to remember that stopping this crime is our year-round priority.
