This MODIS true-color image is centered on Turkey. The northern coast, where Turkey meets the Black Sea, appears to be more heavily vegetated than the Mediterranean Coast, to the south. The whitish cluster of pixels in roughly the center of the country is Lake Tuz, a shallow, salt-water lake.
