A Huge Thank You to the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Federal Employee Program (FEP) for their generous check of $100,000 for Ike and Gustav victims (Blue Cross FEP executive Nanette Hayes shown left).

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association is FEEA's most important corporate sponsor. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Blue Cross electronically transferred $100,000 to FEEA's bank account, allowing us to begin helping victims in a meaningful way even before other donations started coming in. They did the same in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina, and again in 2007 after the California wildfires. The Gustav/Ike donation is the latest in this generous tradition. 

The Blue Cross FEP program also provides at least one special distinction scholarship in each of FEEA's 26 regions.
