EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs works with other U.S. agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, and stakeholders to ensure high levels of protection for human health and the environment. EPA is committed to:

  1. Strengthening food safety, public health, and environmental protection in the United States and worldwide by developing and strengthening international standards and approaches to the sound management of pesticides.
  2. Improving regulatory efficiency by sharing scientific and technical expertise with the international community to benefit consumers, growers, and industry stakeholders.
  3. Minimizing trade barriers and facilitating fair competition while maintaining strict safety standards by assisting growers, importers, and exporters to comply with pesticide regulatory trade requirements.
