Support for International Force in Somalia

Question:   Will the U.S. provide any logistical, lift, or other support for an international force in Somalia?

Answer:   The United States is committed to supporting the quick deployment of the IGASOM peace support mission in Somalia. We continue to consult internally, with the Ugandan government, and with other partners in the region to determine what specific form that support will take.
