Special Briefing on the Civilian Stabilization Initiative

Coordinator for the Office of Reconstruction and Stabilization Ambassador John E. Herbst will brief the press on the Civilian Stabilization Initiative on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the State Department Press Briefing Room. This briefing will be on-camera and on-the-record.

Press without a Department of State building pass should arrive at the 23rd Street entrance no later than 2:30 p.m. in order to clear security prior to the start of the briefing.

Media representatives may cover the this event upon presentation of the following at the 23rd Street Entrance: (1) a U.S. Government-issued media identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
