2007 World Food Prize Laureate to be Announced at U.S. Department of State

President of the World Food Prize Foundation Ambassador Kenneth M. Quinn will announce the World Food Prize Laureate at a ceremony at the U.S. Department of State on June 18, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. in the Loy Henderson Auditorium. The event will be hosted by Assistant Secretary for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs (EEB)  Daniel Sullivan. Also participating in the announcement ceremony will be World Food Program Executive Director Josette Sheeran, Acting Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Henrietta Fore, Congressman Tom Latham (R-IA) and World Food Prize Selection Committee Chairman and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Norman Borlaug.

This event is open for press coverage.

Pre-set time for cameras: 11:00 a.m. via 23rd Street entrance.
Final Access for all press: 11:30 a.m. via 23rd Street entrance.

To attend this event, media representatives must present one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
