Reception Marking the 85th Anniversary of U.S.-Baltic Relations

On June 14, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried will host Foreign Ministers Urmas Paet of Estonia, Artis Pabriks of Latvia, and Petras Vaitiekunas of Lithuania for a reception to celebrate the 85th anniversary of unbroken U.S. diplomatic relations with each of these Baltic nations. Assistant Secretary Fried and the Foreign Ministers will make remarks opening the reception.

The remarks opening the reception will be open to the press. Press attending should be at the 23rd St. entrance of the State Department at 3:15 p.m. For more information, contact Terry Davidson at (202) 647-6291 or Chase Beamer at (202) 647-9754.

To attend this event, members of the media must present:(1) a media-issued photo identification card, (2) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport), or (3) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center).
