Media Note Office of the Spokesman Washington, DC September 12, 2007 Meeting Of the Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information PolicyThe Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information Policy (ACICIP) will meet on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Loy Henderson Auditorium of the Harry S. Truman Building. The meeting will last until approximately 12:00 p.m. and is open to the public and press.
The meeting will be hosted by Ambassador David A. Gross, United States Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy, and by Committee Chairman Richard E. Wiley. The Committee serves the U.S. Government in a solely advisory capacity concerning current issues and problems in international communications and information policy. Topics for the October 11 meeting are: the International Telecommunication Union’s (ITU) upcoming World Radiocommunication Conference discussion to be led by Ambassador Richard M. Russell; upcoming bilateral discussions with the European Union and India; and follow-up on recent bilateral meetings with Brazil, Mexico, and Vietnam. The public and members of the press may attend this meeting as seating capacity allows. Members of the public and press attending this event will be required to stay for the duration of the meeting. Admittance to the State Department building will be by means of a pre-arranged clearance list.
