South Africa Conviction of A.Q. Khan Network Associate

The U.S. welcomes the conviction of Gerhard Wisser for his involvement in the A.Q. Khan nuclear network.

This landmark case is a direct result of the determination and perseverance with which the South African Government pursued the investigation and prosecution.

The Government of South Africa is engaged in an important effort to ensure that those involved in the A.Q. Khan nuclear network are held to account.
