The Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing is an alliance between the Federal government and the U.S. Housing industry to accelerate the production and use of technologies that improve the Nation's housing through improved affordability, energy efficiency, durability, quality, and disaster preparedness. One of PATH's major research support efforts is Technology Scanning. Technology Scanning searches for technology developments in other industries, from other nations, federal laboratories, and other building sectors that could transferred and applied to the housing industry. Technology Scanning will be updated as technology developments dictate. Technology Scanning is comprised of a series of fact sheets, each divided into the following categories:
