Termination of your LRP contract can occur for the following reasons:
You apply for loan repayment prior to graduation and
- You fail to maintain the required academic standing in your final school year.
- You voluntarily terminate your enrollment in school.
- You're dismissed from school before finishing your program.
- You've enrolled in a graduate training program and fail to complete it (without a waiver).
You receive loan repayment and
- You fail to begin or complete your service obligation.
- You have unsatisfactory performance in your service employment.
Should your contract be terminated, a formula is used to determine the amount of damages the US is entitled to recover from you. For a full and detailed explanation of the formula,
consult the LRP Application Handbook.
