Escambia County, Florida Caught at the FL-AL State Line |

Flomaton, AL -The U.S. Marshals
North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jimmy Cash of
Flomaton, Alabama at his home Monday afternoon. Cash, 48, was
arrested by the Marshals Task Force and Flomaton Police Department
at his home on the 700 Block of Upper Creek Road without incident.
Cash is wanted on an Escambia County Florida warrant charging him
with Battery or Domestic Battery by Strangulation, Battery on a
Person 65 Years or Older, a felony charge of Cruelty Toward
Child/Abuse Without Great Harm and two misdemeanor charges of
Criminal Mischief with Property Damage. The charges stem from
allegations that on December 23 while at a family Christmas party,
Cash had become intoxicated and was asked not to drive by family
members. Supposedly Cash then became violent and according to a
sheriff’s report got involved in an altercation with a family member
and then assaulted another who tried to break up the fight. The
second victim was then allegedly strangled by Cash and the fight
ensued outside. After that Cash purportedly kicked in a back door
and went to a car where the second victim’s 6 year-old daughter was
inside and started punching and breaking the windshield. That victim
once again tried to stop Cash who reportedly grabbed her by the
throat and threw her to the ground. After the Task Force learned
that Cash was at home, they went to Alabama with task force members
from Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and made contact with the
Flomaton Police Department. Cash was subsequently arrested at around
2:30 p.m. Cash was taken to the Escambia County Jail in Escambia
County, Alabama by the Flomaton Police Department and will await
extradition back to Escambia County, Florida where he will face the
charges. |
