A fugitive wanted for allegedly
committing Wilmington’s first homicide this year and the Possession
of a Weapon during the Commission of a Felony was arrested on July
3, 2007 by members of the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task
Force and the Wilmington Police Department.
Kenneth Law had been wanted by the City of Wilmington for
questioning in a shooting that occurred on February 9, 2007 on West
24th Street. On July 2, 2007, Wilmington Police obtained an arrest
warrant charging Law with the shooting and immediately requested
assistance form the First State Fugitive Task Force in locating him.
While conducting surveillance on the West Side of Wilmington, Task
Force Officers observed Law enter a residence on West 34th Street.
Wilmington Police Department responded immediately to the residence
and Law was arrested without incident and transported to the
Wilmington Police Department for his arraignment. |
