AMERICA’S MOST WANTED FUGITIVE NABBED
BY U.S. MARSHALS |
|
Indianapolis, IN - United States
Marshal Peter M. Swaim announces the arrest of America’s Most Wanted
Fugitive, Lizzette A. Garvin, on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at
approximately 6:30 P.M. Garvin was profiled on the America’s Most
Wanted television program on Saturday, and the leads began pouring
in. Garvin is a self proclaimed con-artist from New York and has
been accused of conning people for 20 years.
The fugitive allegedly is responsible for hundreds of
burglaries/thefts throughout the country. Once he obtained a
person’s identification documents, she would impersonate a police
office and steal the victims identity. Over the years, Garvin became
so cocky that she started contacting police in New York taunting
them. Garvin is wanted for grand larceny, parole violation, identity
theft, and probation violation. She was wanted by law enforcement in
New York, California, Mississippi, Iowa, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
The telephone leads called in to America’s Most Wanted resulted in
U.S. Marshals in Indianapolis searching hotels on the west side of
Indianapolis, near the airport. After several hours, Deputy Marshals
located a rental vehicle with Georgia licenses at the Extended Stay
America hotel. Garvin and a female acquaintance were inside the
vehicle. She was arrested without incident, and was transported to
the Arresting Processing Center (APC) in Indianapolis. Assisting the
United States Marshals Service was the Indianapolis Metropolitan
Police Department. |
