THE LONE STAR FUGITIVE TASK FORCE PARTNERS WITH THE SAN ANTONIO POLICE DEPARTMENT IN HOMICIDE CASE

Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s Repeat Offender Program (ROP) partnered to locate and arrest Homicide suspect Luis Trevino in the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 18, 2007.

The body of a woman found by a passer-by in a shallow grave along Thousand Oaks and Wurzbach Parkway on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 is believed to be that of a missing San Antonio area singer named Alex Countryman. The 24 year old mother disappeared on December 8, 2006 from the Bear Creek Apartments in San Antonio. San Antonio Police Department Homicide Detectives were able to gather enough evidence to get an arrest warrant issued on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 charging Luis Trevino with murder. Once the warrant was issued, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force was contacted for assistance in locating Trevino. Information was developed as to the possible whereabouts of Trevino and after a short surveillance; he was spotted in an apartment complex as he walked towards his vehicle. Upon exiting the complex in his vehicle, Trevino was stopped by numerous police vehicles and taken into custody without incident.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “Those charged with crimes of violence will always be targeted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and its partner agencies.
