U.S. MARSHALS JOIN HUNT, OFFER REWARD FOR
MATERIAL WITNESS IN DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

Russell Lee OverlinDES MOINES, IA – U.S. Marshals are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the apprehension of Russell Lee Overlin, 52, of Mitchellville. Overlin is wanted by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for questioning in relation to the deaths of his father and step-mother, Gilbert and Naomi Overlin. The couple was found slain at their Mitchellville home on Thursday, February 1, 2007.

The Iowa District Court for Polk County issued a material witness warrant for Overlin on February 1, 2007. U.S. Marshals in the Southern District of Iowa were asked to join in the search today.

Russell Lee Overlin is a 52 year old white male, 6”01”, 250 lbs. with brown eyes and thinning brown hair. Overlin may be driving a Red 1995 Chevy Tahoe with Iowa license plates 009 EAN. Overlin should be considered armed and dangerous.
