Low Speed Chase Nets Man Wanted For Pistol Whipping During Armed Robbery

 
SERFTF LogoATLANTA, GA - At approximately 3:30pm on May 9, 2007, investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office and the Atlanta Police Department arrested Brandon Rozier, 24. Rozier was wanted by Houston County for armed robbery.

On May 3, 2007, investigators believe that Rozier pistol whipped an employee during an armed robbery in Houston County, GA.

This afternoon investigators developed information that Rozier may be in the Atlanta area. After setting up surveillance on a residence in Cobb County, GA. Investigators witnessed Rozier and a female that is believed to be his girlfriend exit the residence and enter her vehicle.

After following the pair, investigators engaged their emergency equipment and attempted to stop them. Whereupon, the female continued to drive south on I-75. SERFTF investigators were joined by both Cobb County Deputies and Atlanta Police Officers in their low speed chase.

Finally, officers were able to position themselves in a way that they were able to force the vehicle to a stop.

Rozier was arrested without further incident and has been transported to the Fulton County Jail for holding.

The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) is a team comprised of law enforcement officers from the United States Marshal, as well as, 27 other local, state and federal agencies. The task force’s objective is to seek out and arrest the regions most violent offenders. Since the inception of the task force in September of 2003, the SERFTF has closed over 10,200 felony warrants. Annually, more fugitives are arrested by U.S. Marshals than all other federal agencies combined.
