Congressman Davis' Committee Assignments:

In the 110th Congress, Representative Davis serves on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Committee on Education and Labor.  To find out more about the work of these committees, to read relevant reports, review hearings and study legislation within the jurisdiction of these committees  please explore the links below.

His assignments on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform include: Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Federal Workforce, Postal Service and District of Columbia and  member of the Subcommittee on Domestic Policy.

To initiate its oversight function of the United States Postal Service Chairman Davis convened a hearing of the Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, Postal Service, and the District of Columbia on April 17, 2007 to take testimony providing an overview of the USPS's operation and business practices; mail growth and delivery services; and infrastructure and realignment.

On Thursday, May 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., Chairman Davis convened the Federal Workforce, Postal Service, and the District of Columbia Subcommittee for a hearing entitled, “Ensuring Diversity at Senior Levels of the Federal Government and the U.S. Postal Service.” This hearing was held to continue the Subcommittee’s oversight of diversity at the highest levels of the federal government and the U.S. Postal Service.

Congressman Davis is also Chairman of the Postal Caucus.
