for Digital Government. The site was presented with the "Digital

"Our goal is to provide our customers with the most environmentally-friendly
recycling options while promoting waste reduction, recycling and
environmental issues," said Jay Beach of the King County Solid
Waste Division. "This easy-to-use Web site continues to help
us meet that goal."
To better assist customers with direct inquiries, King County's
award-winning Web site provides a variety of answers to the frequently
asked question of "What do I do with...?" Customers
are able to choose an item from a simple drop-down menu and have
instant access to a database containing hundreds of providers that
accept many items for reuse, recycling or for proper disposal. Along
with the Division's own Online Materials Exchange, the providers
list also contains local, regional and national resources.
